LEAVES: Alternate, simple, 3 to 8" long and wide, deciduous, unique shaped leaf, 3 or 4 lobes, bright green, yellow fall color
SIZE: 70 to 90' tall or greater, 35 to 50' wide
HARDINESS: Zone 4 to 9
HABIT: Pyramidal tree, becoming somewhat rounded at the top with age
GROWTH RATE: Fast
FLOWERS: Greenish-yellow, May to early June, nice flowers, however, usually too high up in the tree
FRUIT: 2 to 3" long, turning brown in October, persists through winter, good ID feature
SOILS: Moist, well-drained, loam, pH adaptable, however, perfers slightly acidic soils
LIGHTING: Full sun
USES: Large areas, specimen
MAINTENANCE: Weak wood
